Microsoft announced CFO Liddell will leave by the end of this year

Beijing November 25 morning news, according to foreign media reports, Microsoft announced today, CFO (Chris Liddell) will leave by the end of 2009 and Pitekelai will be appointed as its new CFO.

In the past fiscal year, Microsoft’s cost reducted three billion U.S  dollars compared with the original plans . It repaid 14 billion U.S. dollars through dividends and stock repurchases from shareholders.

Klein joined Microsoft in February 2002, he is CFO of the current corporate business unit , responsible for financial strategy, management, etc.; Before, Klein served as Microsoft’s CFO OF server and tools business unit for 3 years. Before joining Microsoft, Klein has 13 years work experience in corporate finance .

Liddell joined Microsoft in May 2005, previously served as CFO of paper products maker International Paper Company and paper products manufacturer Carter Holt Harvey’s CEO New Zealand. Riedel said that he is paying attention to other opportunities, hoping to engage in other work outside the CFO.

Riedel work at Microsoft by the end of the year and work closely with Klein to ensure the smooth completion of the transition.

Klein received a bachelor’s degree at Yale University and MBA (Master of Business Administration) degree at Washington University .
