Japanese Prime Minister luxury new homes, battery-powered: todaybattery.com

Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi will be the enjoyment of the world’s first luxury laptop battery high-tech treatment that the Prime Minister, the Japanese government recently decided that a new site for Koizumi buy new polymer fuel cell to provide electricity and thermal energy. In other words, even Koizumi’s future will be taking a bath with hot water heated by the fuel cell to provide!

According to Japanese media, Japan’s cabinet secretary, the procurement of this item is on the development in 2002, and to make hydrogen energy as a residential and automotive energy to provide part of the plan, Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi for the construction of the new site is expected in late spring next year the time.

According to Natural Resources and Energy Agency officials to promote the use of fuel dell battery cells, said introduction, the size of the fuel cell is like a home air-conditioning unit, but after a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen can provide a stable current of 1 kW, which is a family of four the use of a day.

Japanese manufacturers of this new energy supply companies plan to begin selling early next year, this battery is designed as a supplement conventional energy sources. Relevant officials said that in tests of this fuel cell can be made to reduce energy consumption 20 percent, while household devices also reduce carbon dioxide output by 30%.

And installed at the residence of Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi is the fuel cell, Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and other Japanese companies to jointly develop several products, the current price of the product is still under negotiation.

Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi’s official residence will be built in a place next to its office here to handle day-to-day official Koizumi, but he is the temporary residence is located in far-off areas.

Energy revolution, the Bluetooth headset you have to fuel cell

A few days ago, with the fuel cell in mobile phones, notebook dell inspiron 500m battery, dell inspiron 510m battery in the successful application, Nokia has also started to study and test the use of new energy products Bluetooth headset. They are just introduced to improve the Nokia HS-3W Bluetooth headset, so that fuel cells have the capacity for the power supply. At present, Nokia has not yet been published using the fuel cell fuel cell with ordinary lithium different charging process can be completed in just a few seconds. Users to inject a small amount of methanol fuel cell inside the container, to supply to the Bluetooth headset. The edge of the hole headset allows air to enter the fuel cell. And then the oxygen in the air reacts with the liquid and produce energy. Nokia officials indicated that the size of a bottle of perfume bottles of 12 milliliters of methanol, we can support the call for 10 hours and battery standby time will reach nearly 400 hours.

Plastic solar cells - writer todaybattery.com

At present, the streets of some cities have been able to see some battery-powered(laptop battery) by solar energy facilities. After decades of research and development, such as materials to silicon solar cell manufacturing costs are still expensive and difficult to install, photoelectric conversion efficiency are also low, only about 12-15%% (now the world’s best silicon-ray power conversion efficiency of about 30%% or so), the cost of electricity was about 22 cents, than coal-fired thermal power plant was 4 cents higher electricity costs.

The good news is that the next generation of solar cells could eventually make solar power competitive. Is a new type of solar cell photovoltaic cells embedded in the surface of plastic film, made of thin film solar. This low-cost thin film solar power generation, conversion efficiency, can have multiple uses. Massachusetts in the United States have a Konarka Technologies, Inc., the company has developed a technology, this new technology are able to titanium dioxide and a dye to absorb light in the plastic film coating the surface of the dye molecules absorb the photon excitation of titanium dioxide electronics in order to generate electricity. Konarka the end of this year the company expects to commercialize its first new type of solar cell market-sony battery, this new type of solar cells will be mainly used in consumer electronics devices such as notebook computers.

Some large companies are also concerned about a new type of solar cell technology. Siemens developed a new technology is a nano-scale carbon-60 molecules with the electrical conductivity of the polymer melt with solar cells made of plastic; General Electric Company and the United States is the use of an organic light-emitting diodes as the absorption material to make plastic solar cells.

Plastic solar cells, in fact, many materials can have a generation capacity. For example, plastic solar cells can be embedded in the wall box laptop computer, you can at any time in the light charge under the condition of the computer; plastic solar cells can also be installed in the electric vehicle body, for electrical power supply; house roof can be covered by plastic solar cells in order to day-to-day electricity supply.

The benefits of this technology will be enormous. Over the years, the 220 billion U.S. dollars of U.S. electric power industry because of its large power plants and power grid system to maintain low-cost carriers refused to change. If the plastic solar cells will allow us to live a life of self-sufficiency of power, the power company will not be able to refuse to change forever.

Final knowledge of the U.S. tort battery China

In yesterday’s “2004 White Paper on U.S. firms in China” press conference, Shanghai American Chamber of Commerce Chairman of the Subcommittee on intellectual property protection at home Zhu Fan to the Post revealed that seven Chinese sony vgp-bps8 battery, sony vgp-bps9 battery manufacturers in the United States and infringement of intellectual property rights have been complaints that this year September 2, the United States has been made final. It has been revealed that within 60 days thereafter, the U.S. president will decide whether or not to approve the final.

Infringement complaints began in May last year. At that time, the United States and the Energizer battery EV-EREADY submit an application to the ITC, the allegations from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan and other countries and regions the production of 25 mercury-free alkaline batteries and spare parts business against its “mercury-free alkaline batteries” intellectual property rights, ITC decided to start the 337 surveys (337 surveys the United States Tariff Act No. 337, ITC handled in accordance with Section 337 cases, 90% for the infringement of intellectual property rights).

In June this year, ITC preliminary ruling that the infringement is established, it is proposed to include Nanfu, Changhong, Shuanglu, leopard, Wang, head of the Chinese enterprises, including the deportation order issued unlimited.

Fan Zhu told reporters at home, at present, China’s intellectual property protection in China is already a headache for U.S. companies do the most. Many U.S. high-tech enterprise in making business decisions when intellectual property protection of the environment in China as a decision on whether the first element of the production. In addition, many consumer goods industries, said China’s troubles encountered counterfeit. It is reported that in 2003, the United States by Section 337 of the prosecution case in the global scope of a total of 18 cases, of which China accounted for 7 cases. 1-7 this year, the 17 337 investigations against Chinese enterprises in the Mainland will have 3.

The United States introduced universal flashlight, you can use any type battery

Recently, the U.S. trial of a company that can use any type of flashlight sony vgp-bps9a, sony vgp-bps9/b batteries , and last week before the powerful hurricane. “Ivan” to reach the U.S. coast before the disaster to the forefront in Florida and sent to two other areas This truck has been the spot known as “rapid transformation” of the flashlight-type can be loaded on the 1st (D), the second (C No.) to a small number (AA) in batteries, can be used, and the torch light the same brightness, but in the use of the length of time there are some differences. This torch is installed a sliding lock, equipped with batteries of different sizes, just to lock the sliding buckle according to demand, flashlight can be used. With such a convenient flashlight, in the dark do not need to re-light a candle or lantern.

Android an Alternative to Windows in Netbooks, Says Gartner

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

Google’s Android mobile phone software worked well on mini-laptops at the Computex Taipei 2009 electronics show and, backed by the strong Google brand, may be headed for prime time, two Gartner analysts said Monday.

The researchers noted that PC manufacturers believe Android is not quite ready for netbooks or similar devices yet, but that it will inevitably get there. The mobile operating system was developed for smartphones, but a number of initiatives have put the operating system in devices such as mini-laptops, netbooks and smartbooks.

Netbooks and smartbooks are two kinds of mini-laptops with screens 10-inches or smaller and full keyboards, but differ in that netbooks are designed to work on PC microchips such as Intel’s Atom microprocessors, while smartbooks run on mobile phone chips with processing cores from Arm Holdings.

“When Android did work, we found that the user interface was very snappy on relatively low-performance ARM processors, more so than Windows 7 on Atom,” Christian Heidarson and Ben Lee wrote in Gartner’s Semiconductor DQ Monday Report.

Android has put momentum behind the move to use ARM processors in the PC industry, including with support from critical software vendors, the researchers said.

Microsoft has said it will not port Windows 7 to ARM nor modify Windows Mobile to work on smartbooks because the devices are untested in the market. That leaves the field open for Google, which has so far remained mum on its plans to support Android outside mobile phones.

Computex served as a coming out party for Android in devices beyond smartphones and in gadgets running on two other kinds of processor technologies, the PC industry’s x86 processors and MIPs processors.

Several Android-based smartbooks were on display at Computex, including a version of Asustek Computer’s Eee PC based on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, which contain ARM processing cores. Asustek pioneered netbooks and has used other Linux OSes in past netbooks, but prior to Computex it had almost completely migrated to Microsoft Windows XP, which is the most popular OS for netbooks.

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) showed off an Android smartbook powered by ARM-based chips from Texas Instruments at Computex, while chip maker Freescale Semiconductor displayed Android smartbooks from Pegatron, the contract manufacturing subsidiary of Asustek, and Wistron, Acer’s former contract manufacturing arm.

The Android Eee PC was thinner and lighter than current members of Asustek’s Eee PC netbook lineup due to the 1GHz ARM processing core. The chips use less electricity and give off less heat than Intel Atom chips, so the mini-laptops they’re in do not require cooling systems such as heat sinks or fans. The smartbooks on display at Computex looked a lot like netbooks, with 10-inch screens and full keyboards, but they can run for eight hours on a three-cell battery, compared to two or three hours for a netbook with a three-cell battery.

Acer, the world’s third-largest PC vendor, unveiled an Android Aspire One netbook, unique because it runs Android on an Intel Atom processor, not an ARM-based chip. Acer worked with a Taiwanese Linux distributor to port Android over to x86 processors, a first for the OS. The device is due out in the third quarter, the company said.

Not to be left out, MIPS Technologies worked with software developer Embedded Alley to port Android to the MIPS chip architecture, which the companies also showed on devices at Computex.

Several other companies displayed their first-ever Android-based gadgets, including Inventec Appliances, which showed a smartphone and handheld computer, and Kinpo, which displayed a handheld computer. Other vendors such as BenQ, Micro-Star International (MSI) and Garmin-Asus vowed to catch up with Android-based products of their own.

Chinese Filterware Maker Bites Back at US Researchers

Thursday, June 25th, 2009

The maker of a Web filter backed by the Chinese government plans legal action against U.S. researchers who say its program may have been copied from foreign software, according to state media.

The Chinese program, called Green Dam Youth Escort, appears to use blacklists taken from a filter product made by U.S.-based Solid Oak Software, according to the report by researchers at the University of Michigan. China has ordered copies of the program to be distributed with all PCs sold in China after July 1.

“I think the negative comments and attacks on Green Dam are intentional,” the China Daily quoted Bryan Zhang, general manager of the company that designed Green Dam, as saying on Monday.

“It is not responsible to crack somebody’s software and publish the details, which are commercial secrets,” Zhang was quoted as saying.

Zhang denied any theft of programming code from CyberSitter, the U.S. program, but said the two programs might have similar blacklists since both mainly filter pornography, according to the paper.

No details of the legal action planned by Zhang’s company, Jinhui Computer System Engineering, appeared in the report. Zhang says his program, like CyberSitter, is aimed at parents.

China has said Green Dam is meant only to filter Internet porn, but the program also blocks Web sites that mention political terms like Falun Gong, a spiritual movement banned as a cult in China.

Green Dam includes a configuration file that links to lists of banned content from the CyberSitter Web site, according to the U.S. report. The program also includes an encrypted CyberSitter news bulletin from 2004 and a setup file that references the CyberSitter blacklists, the report says.

Calls to Zhang and his company, Jinhui Computer System Engineering, went unanswered Monday evening.

Computex Attendance Falls but Android Dazzles

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

The Computex Taipei 2009 electronics show ended Saturday after a week-long display of new gadgets, including netbooks, ultra thin laptops made with new Intel chips and several surprises surrounding Google’s Android mobile phone operating system.

The show’s final numbers were down nearly across the board from last year, but not by much considering the global recession and fears surrounding the H1N1 swine flu.

An estimated 100,000 people visited Computex Taipei 2009 from around the world, down slightly from 106,517 last year, according to figures from the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA). The totals include 32,178 international buyers, down from 34,685 last year and 1,712 exhibitors, down compared to 1,750. The only figure that improved was the amount of booths rented, which rose to 4,498 this year, from around 4,000 last year.

The 2008 comparison figures were taken from last year’s closing press release from Computex, important to note because show organizers did not offer the figures on the 2009 press release, instead saying most of the 2009 numbers were up between 1 percent and 5 percent over last year. A TAITRA official was unable to immediately explain the discrepancy in the figures.

Chinese companies at Computex’s first ever China pavilion complained deal-making was slower than they had expected.

Chinese network equipment maker Shenzhen Yichen Technology Development found 30 percent to 40 percent more buyers at the show last year compared to this year, a representative manning the company’s booth said on the last day of Computex.

The representative blamed the economic downturn for what he said was a smaller turnout at the exhibition than last year.

The aisles of Chinese company booths were empty compared to other areas of the exhibition.

This was the first year Chinese companies were officially welcomed at Computex, though JCG was one of a group that attended last year by registering as Hong Kong-based companies. Political differences between Taiwan and China have kept the presence of Chinese firms to a minimum in the past, but growing bonds between people in both places has turned out to be a boon for business.

Over 130 Chinese companies had booths this year, according to TAITRA.

One first-time exhibitor, southern Chinese laptop vendor and designer Guangzhou Darling Industrial, also perceived a low turnout. The company did not secure the four to five business partners it expected to find, said a representative at the company’s booth.

The company also hoped to form partnerships with companies from outside Taiwan, but Taiwanese businesses were the main attendees, she said.

The company has not decided if it will attend next year, she said.

Some companies blamed the sluggish global economy for the apparent lack of deals, while other said fear of the swine flu may have kept potential buyers away.

Taiwan put several measures in place to guard against swine flu, including hand wipe stations at the front doors of the exhibition areas and infrared scanners capable of detecting fevers via heat that international airline passengers had to walk past on their way to passport control.

The number of new gadgets and announcements did not show any signs of slowdown from last year.

Computex served as a coming out party for Google’s Android mobile operating system in devices outside the smartphones for which it was designed.

Mobile phone chip maker Qualcomm showed off a previously unannounced version of Asustek Computer’s Eee PC based on its Snapdragon processor and running the Android OS. Asustek pioneered netbooks and has used other Linux OSes in its netbooks in the past, but prior to Computex it had almost completely changed over to Microsoft Windows XP, which is the most popular OS for netbooks.

The new Eee PC also lacked the Intel Atom microprocessors that have become ubiquitous in netbooks. Instead the device, which is thinner and lighter than current members of Asustek’s Eee PC netbook lineup, uses a Snapdragon chip with a 1GHz ARM processing core. The chips use less electricity and give off less heat than Atoms, so the mini-laptops they’re in do not require cooling systems such as heat sinks or fans.

Qualcomm, Freescale Semiconductor and Texas Instruments call the devices smartbooks. The smartbooks on display at Computex looked a lot like netbooks, with 10-inch screens and full keyboards, but they can run for eight hours on a three-cell battery, compared to two or three hours for a netbook with a three-cell battery. One potential benefit of the devices aside from their long battery life is easy connectivity to mobile phone networks for wireless Internet surfing. But one downside is that since they use ARM microprocessors instead of x86 processors such as Atom, they will miss out on the huge library of software made for x86 chips, though software can always be revamped to run on the ARM processors.

Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) also showed off a smartbook running Android, on chips from Texas Instruments.

Acer may become the first company to put out a netbook with Android in the third quarter of this year if it can beat some rivals, such as China’s Guangzhou Skytone Transmission Technologies, which has said its Android netbook is undergoing final testing.

What’s unique about Acer’s new Aspire One netbook with Android is that the processor inside is an Intel Atom, not an ARM-based chip. Acer worked with a Taiwanese Linux distributor to port Android over to x86 processors, a first for the OS.

Not to be left out, MIPS Technologies worked with software developer Embedded Alley to port Android to the MIPS chip architecture, which the companies also showed on devices at Computex.

Several other companies displayed their first-ever Android-based gadgets, including Inventec Appliances, which showed a smartphone and handheld computer and Kinpo, which displayed a handheld computer. Other vendors such as BenQ, Micro-Star International (MSI) and Garmin-Asus vowed to catch up with Android-based products of their own.

There were a number of other notable devices shown off at Computex, including thin, light laptops created around Intel’s CULV (consumer ultra low voltage) microprocessors from every major Taiwanese producer, such as Acer’s Timeline laptop series and Asustek’s U-series. New netbook designs were on show, including Gigabyte Technology’s TouchNote T1028 netbook running Microsoft Windows 7 and sporting a 10.1-inch touchscreen that swivels around and folds down to transform it into a tablet PC. Other netbooks and nettops with Nvidia Ion graphics chips inside were available at several booths, while e-book devices were also out in force.

One nice aspect of Computex is that unlike other trade shows that show off concept devices and cutting edge technologies that may never make it to market, the majority of what’s shown in Taipei is on store shelves ahead of year-end holidays.

WWDC: Final Apple Predictions

Friday, June 19th, 2009

Today all Apple rumors will either be satisfied or squashed during the keynote address at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference. We’re just a few hours away from the presentation, and the tech world has been in full gear all weekend to get their final predictions out before the speech at 10 a.m. Pacific Time. So here are highlights of the latest rumor and speculation about Apple’s developalooza.

iPhone 3GS

John Gruber of Daring Fireball has weighed in with one last set of predictions on the possibility of a new iPhone. Gruber stands behind his prediction from several weeks ago of an iPhone with a faster processor, and double the RAM and storage of the current iPhone 3G. However, Gruber says he’s heard the codename for the new iPhone is iPhone 3GS, and he bets Apple will also use this moniker as the official name of the next iteration of the iPhone.

IPhone 3GS is the second name to be thrown around concerning the next iPhone. On Friday, we heard rumors the device might be called iPhone Video, which would highlight the new video capability believed to be built into iPhone OS 3.0. So if Gruber were right, what would the ‘S’ in iPhone 3GS stand for? Gruber’s best guess is it stands for “speed.”

For me, a name like iPhone Video or something similar makes more sense than iPhone 3GS. Simply because Apple product names typically follow a basic principle of marketing: use the brand name to identify product value. Consider iPod names like Nano, Mini, Shuffle and Touch, or even iPhone 3G. All of these identify something particular about the product, while iPhone 3GSpeed is just a general promise of improved performance. I’m not buying it, because iPhone 3GS just isn’t Apple’s style.

In other iPhone predictions, Gruber believes the new iPhone will have 15-20 percent longer battery life, and the current 8GB iPhone will downgrade to a $99 model — possibly until Apple runs out of stock of the iPhone 3G.

More blurry iPhone photos

More photographs purporting to be the next iteration of the iPhone have surfaced. The French blog Nowhere Else has photos of an all-black 16GB iPhone. Similar photos popped up last week on the Italian blog iSpazio. The photo sets from Italy and France coincide with previous claims by a Chinese electronics reseller that it is selling official spare parts for the next-gen iPhone. Among those parts was an all-black iPhone bezel, as opposed to the chrome ring that has gone around previous iPhone models.

Snow Leopard

Apple has already said it plans to distribute copies of Snow Leopard, the newest version of OS X, to developers at WWDC, with a public launch several months after. When it was announced at last year’s WWDC, Apple said Snow Leopard would focus on under-the-hood improvements with no new features. However, there has been speculation that Apple would add a few little goodies including a new look, codenamed “Marble.”

Computerworld’s Seth Weintraub weighed in on Snow Leopard saying he believes Apple will port the Core Location feature from the iPhone into the new version of OS X. That would allow your Mac to identify its location, which could then be used by your Mac’s dashboard applications and standard programs. Weintraub is also betting that Snow Leopard may work with ARM-based chips so that Apple can port the OS to tablets and so-called smartbooks. Other predictions from Computerworld’s blogger include out-of-the-box support for Microsoft Exchange, and a new version of QuickTime with direct upload capability to YouTube and Mobile Me.

However, Gruber is also making some bets for Snow Leopard, saying the new OS will not have any new features as promised, and will not include the new Marble look. Gruber also says a free Snow Leopard upgrade for current Mac owners is out of the question due to how Apple interprets U.S. business accounting rules.

Both Gruber and Weintraub agree that Apple may sell Snow Leopard at a lower cost than typical OS upgrades for its Mac and MacBook lines.

MacBook Mobile?

Sticking his neck way out there, Weintraub is also betting that Apple may unveil MacBooks with 3G or WiMax capabilities, including the MacBook Air which could also see an upgrade to 4GB RAM.

The End is Near

At 10 a.m. Pacific, a team of Apple execs will take the stage at San Francisco’s Moscone Center West for the WWDC Keynote Address. At that time we’ll know the fate of the rumored front-facing video camera, tethering capability, and FM transmitter for the iPhone. And we could learn more about the mysterious Apple Tablet. Then again, we could hear nothing new at all. The best way to find out is to tune into PC World for all the Apple-juicy details from WWDC.

Purification of low-grade lithium market

With the IT, communications and other consumer electronics market, the rapid growth of lithium-ion battery has become the mainstream of portable energy, and lithium battery manufacturers mixed head of fish, the quality of genuine lithium difficile! By Li-ion battery(btp-apj1, btp-aqj1, btp-arj1, acer aspire5540 battery, acer aspire5550 battery and y9943, dell inspiron 630m battery, dell inspiron 640m battery, dell inspiron e1405 battery, dell xpsm140 battery and dell latitude d420 battery, dell latitude d430 battery) safety problems caused by the battery explosion, battery fire incident here, an increasing number of consumer complaints! Business also suffered, Kyocera 7135 smart phone-based mobile phones have a short-circuit the battery overheating and had to recall 140,000 mobile phone battery, paid a painful economic costs. Purification of lithium-ion battery market, crack down on poor-quality manufacturing lithium imminent! Battery Co., Ltd. TCL payment to Mr. Li Fengqi general manager said a few days ago, TCL lithium polymer batteries will be outstanding cost-effective, comprehensive low-grade purification of liquid lithium market power.

Battery Co., Ltd. TCL payment to such well-known battery manufacturer, said: lithium-ion batteries due to high energy density in the charge-off state, the battery temperature rise, energy surplus, then the electrolyte decomposition gases, leading to sharp increase in battery internal pressure and the occurrence of spontaneous combustion or risk of explosion. Liquid lithium batteries are usually used for packaging of steel or aluminum shell, therefore, the battery exploded significant harm; and polymer lithium batteries as a result of the use of plastic film packaging, different from the liquid metal lithium electricity, even in the presence of security risks also will not explode, it will only bulging, has a very good safety performance. At the same time, lithium polymer batteries have high energy density can be as thin as paper, the characteristics of variable physical form, known as the “new generation” lithium batteries.

In addition, the mobile phone itself to the miniaturization, the direction of the development of ultra-thin, to facilitate the consumer’s portable, ultra-thin type of battery will also increase demand. It is understood that as a result of lithium polymer technology with the liquid lithium line is different from the production of polymer thinner the better, or even to produce the thickness of 0.5mm below the battery(as07b72, acer aspire5520 battery, acer aspire5520g battery, acer aspire5920 battery, acer aspire5920g battery and batcl50l, acer travelmate 290 battery and dell latitude d410 battery and pa3383u-1brs, toshiba satellite a70 battery, toshiba satellite a75 battery, toshiba satellite p30 battery, toshiba satellite p35 battery ). Liquid lithium on the contrary, the more thick the better production, less than 4mm thick it is difficult to control the battery, even if produced significantly less capacity polymer lithium electricity, but also high production costs. This makes low-quality lithium unprofitable manufacturing enterprises, was strangled at the source!

Superior performance, low cost, it is committed to the pursuit of business objectives. As the lithium polymer battery R & D and application of the pioneers, TCL payment to the company after several years of battery time, the completion of the polymer lithium-ion batteries from the technical research and development, to the size of the entire process of production. At present, the company has annual production capacity of 10,000 over 6000’s production capacity polymer lithium battery is the only SONY, Samsung, the world’s third largest manufacturer of polymer batteries.

Kim, general manager of TCL to Li Feng Qi also said that with the manufacturing process matures, the size of the expansion, TCL cost polymer batteries can be achieved even second-line liquid lithium battery domestic enterprise cost basis, we will be able through the excellence of the product price ratio, a wake-up call to low-grade lithium, in order to purify the lithium market should contribute to social responsibility.

Portable battery market hot

Market research firm Strategy Analytics recently released report points out that under the impetus of portable devices, batteries(a1078, a1148, apple powerbook g4 15inch battery and a1175, apple macbook pro 15 battery and m8433, apple ibook g4 12-inch battery and a1079) battery market by 2010 will be more than 9 billion U.S. dollars. However, for smaller size of the demand for fuel cells, however, disappointing.

While the Lithium-sulfur batteries can claim to traditional rechargeable batteries to double the capacity, but the development of fuel cell market will be due to lack of appropriate supply chain, as well as restrictions on the use of aircraft is limited by methanol.

The author of the report John Moroney said: “rechargeable batteries, or the concept of one-time battery terminal has been fully informed by the consumer market, the demand for portable devices will expand the battery cell manufacturers in the overall market sales. Power efficiency of portable devices will reduce the overall power demand, while the lithium-sulfur batteries and other new chemicals will double the available power. However, the direct methanol fuel cells (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell, DMFC) will be slow to enter smaller markets such as military applications, as it requires out of the modern dependence on social infrastructure. ”

Strategy Analytics Vice President David Kerr also pointed out that: “At present, manufacturers need to educate consumers to understand a variety of cell types, and fully understand the information in the circumstances to make a choice.”

Diversification: the general trend of China’s energy mix

By fuel cell cars, live in the home heating, the use of solar water heaters, nuclear power plants to provide adequate electricity, etc. This is the National Development and Reform Commission recently issued the 2004 “Current priority areas of focus of high-tech industry guide” to promote The focus of the development of advanced energy future will bring us life. China’s current energy situation, the urgent need to increase the energy structure of a wide range of support, which made the 14 high-tech industry of advanced energy, apart from the people familiar with the coal, electricity, oil, natural gas, coal bed methane, etc., including fuel batteries, hydrogen energy and biomass energy, nuclear energy(m8416g/a, apple ibook g4 14-inch battery and a42-a3, vgp-bps5, vgp-bps5a and fpcbp102, fpcbp112, fpcbp152, fpcbp145, fpcbp77, fpcbp80, fpcbp83, fpcbp121, fpcbp95), geothermal energy and other renewable sources of clean energy.

The release of “Guide” and three years ago are significant differences between versions is the fuel cell and hydrogen storage and transportation system as a check and two separate areas of focus of high-tech industries separately. In this regard, the Chinese Academy of Sciences fuel cell project director of the Center for Zhang public that this is in accordance with the status quo of China’s energy initiative. The middle of this century human society will gradually enter the hydrogen era, the United States, Japan and the European Union, respectively, which developed their own hydrogen and fuel cell road map, natural gas, hydrogen, methanol, hydrogen, biomass hydrogen production, microbial hydrogen production technology hydrogen storage and related technology will be the focus of China’s hydrogen energy development. Zhang Hua-min, but also pointed out that hydrogen will eventually be contained only a body, and a secondary energy like electricity, it also must pay close attention to wind, solar and nuclear energy development and utilization of energy in the development of these more practical significance. As the fuel cell in the production cost, stability, reliability, durability and so on are yet to be technological breakthroughs for the fuel cell industry problems, “Guide” to the recent focus on the industrialization level 1000W ~ 100kW proton exchange membrane fuel cell products and electro-catalyst, electrode, Nafion-PTFE composite membrane and bipolar plate materials such as batteries, proton exchange membrane fuel cell, direct methanol cell, melting of carbonate and solid oxide cell batteries.

As the traditional energy and natural gas resources in the “Guide” also has been further stressed that the optimal use of natural gas is another advanced energy industry of the new area of focus. The next few decades, natural gas in the energy and chemical structure of chemical raw materials will be substantial increase in the proportion. China has abundant natural gas resources, the full, effective and rational use of natural resources for the development of natural gas to optimize the use of technology is transforming resource advantages into economic advantages for the inevitable move. “Guide” to determine the optimal use of natural gas resources in the near future of the industry focus: namely, methane and carbon dioxide catalytic activation, partial oxidation of methane (including carbon dioxide re-) to syngas, methane direct oxidation of methanol, formaldehyde and methane from Aromatization of hydrogen(f4486b, f4486a, cgr-b1870ae, pavilionze 1100 and 381374-001, 398876-001, pb992a, hstnn-lb11, Business Notebook nx7400 and gw240, dell inspiron 1525 battery, dell inspiron 1526 battery and asm92p1168, fru92p1167, ibm thinkpad x60 battery and d7310, dell inspiron 700m battery, dell inspiron 710m battery, f5136), such as high-performance catalysts, gas turbine technology.

In addition, in 2004, “Guide” in the biomass energy, wind energy, nuclear energy, geothermal energy and other renewable sources of clean energy have also identified the recent focus on the industrialization of their own. Wind power plants, solar PV, ground source heat pump, such as nuclear power plants to improve China’s energy structure will play an important role.

2004 “The current priority areas of focus of high-tech industry guide” advanced energy resources include the 14 priority areas of high-tech industries include: fuel cells, hydrogen storage and transportation system of check and new and renewable sources of energy, coal efficient and safe production, oil exploration technology and equipment, oil hydrogenation technology and equipment, coal-bed methane development and utilization of resources, high efficiency, low-pollution coal-fired power generation systems, high-capacity supercritical / ultra supercritical thermal power generating units and hydro, nuclear electricity and fuel equipment, long-distance high-pressure gas equipment, long-distance high-voltage electric transmission and transformation equipment, semiconductor lighting devices, the optimal use of natural gas resources.

China’s battery production ranks third in the world

A study shows that China has become second only to Japan and South Korea the world’s third-largest battery(ibm thinkpad z60t battery, ibm thinkpad z61t battery, 40y6791, 40y6793, asm92p1122, asm92p1126, fru92p1121, fru92p1123, fru92p1125) producer, with output accounting for 30% of the world. In 2003, the Mainland of China 20 billion cells, which export 18 billion.
Honda’s new fuel cell system into the United States this year, the north-east market

A few days ago, according to environmental experts, as a vehicle fuel cell system, “Honda FC STACK” the first time, separated by a metal stamping film structure and a new electrolyte membrane material. Separated by metal stamping film refers to the structure and internal gasket sheet metal structure as a whole, have changed the carbon fixed by the nut of the complex structure of films separated. The use of the new structure by reducing the number of parts and components for the original 1 / 2, power density has increased more than 2-fold, reaching a high performance level.

China Demands New PCs Have Web Site-blocking Program

Friday, June 19th, 2009

China will require that Web filtering software be included with all computers sold in the country, another step up in its efforts to control pornography and other content on the Internet.

The move follows a government crackdown on online smut that has led to the closure of thousands of Web sites this year, and concern that such campaigns could expand to target content that is political rather than pornographic.

PC makers will be required to pre-install the Web site-blocking program or offer it on a CD-ROM included with all PCs sold in China after July 1, according to a translation of a Ministry of Industry and Information Technology notification seen by IDG News Service.

The move is meant to protect youth from “unhealthy” information online, according to the statement.

The program, called Green Dam Youth Escort in Chinese, blocks only sites with pornographic content, and parents can turn it off, said Bryan Zhang, general manager of Jinhui Computer System Engineering, which designed the software.

But the measure triggered concern about wider censorship.

China blocked access to Web sites including Microsoft’s Bing search engine last week, adding to a list of previously banned sites including YouTube and some blog services. Twitter and Hotmail were also blocked ahead of the 20th anniversary last week of Beijing’s bloody crackdown on democracy protests, though those Web sites could load again on Monday.

Dell will consider including the software with new PCs only if its purpose is to block pornographic content from children, and only if it can be disabled, said Amit Midha, Dell’s president for Greater China.

It will not install software that helps censor other Internet sites, Midha said. Midha also said Dell had not heard of any Chinese government notification ordering the program’s use.

Dell is the third-biggest PC vendor in China, according to research company IDC.

Lenovo and Hewlett-Packard, China’s number one and two PC vendors, declined to comment.

Image recognition technology lets Jinhui’s program block individual images in addition to Web sites when they resemble sample pornographic images in a database, said Zhang, the company’s manager. Users are notified when updates are available for download, he said.

Jinhui’s Web sites says its program also prevents the use of proxy servers or circumvention software to visit banned sites, measures often used by savvy Internet users in China.

China’s government will pay for the first year of the program’s use for all PC buyers, after which they can buy the program from Jinhui, Zhang said.

Jinhui has previously worked with a research institute under China’s public security ministry on a blocking system for “harmful” online video clips, and has “long-term technical cooperation” with the army’s Information Engineering University, according to its Web site.

Jinhui won a government tender to distribute its software with PCs about a year ago, and has since worked with PC vendors to ensure compatibility and proficiency with the software, said Zhang.

The company has also worked with the government to put its software on PCs in schools, and hopes to market the product abroad, he said.

WWDC: Final Apple Predictions

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

for the new iPhone is iPhone 3GS, and he bets Apple will also use this moniker as the official name of the next iteration of the iPhone.
